What you will be doing:
Enterprise Data Operations
-
Lead and optimize the end-to-end data pipeline from site onboarding through data ingestion, validation, normalization, quality review, analysis-ready datasets, and regulatory reporting.

Develop scalable data operations frameworks that support multiple studies, healthcare organizations, and diverse clinical data sources.

Codify enterprise standards for data lineage, governance, auditability, and operational controls.

Design scalable operational models for onboarding new clinical sites, research partners, and data sources.

Establish standardized data transfer, ingestion, and workflow processes that enable consistent, repeatable customer implementations.
Data Quality & Governance

Coordinating with the product team, codify regulatory-grade quality management and governance frameworks that ensure trusted, high-quality data.

Develop validation rules, automated quality checks, exception handling, and audit processes that support regulatory compliance.

Define KPIs, dashboards, and operational metrics to monitor data quality, operational performance, and continuous improvement.
Commercialization of Product/R&D portfolio

Build while delivering: Ensure new products and capabilities are rolled into the existing data pipeline, with an eye for the overall direction and strategy for the complete platform.

Evaluate, prototype, and implement AI-enabled solutions across the data lifecycle while ensuring regulatory compliance and appropriate human oversight.

Working directly with the product leader, define the long-term architecture and technology strategy for Data Operations.
AI & Intelligent Automation

Working directly with the product leader, develop and execute the AI and automation strategy for Enterprise Data Operations to improve efficiency, scalability, and data quality.

Coordinate across the org to establish governance and best practices for responsible AI adoption, ensuring measurable business value and operational reliability.

Evaluate and recommend technologies that improve scalability, efficiency, reliability, and operational maturity.
Operational Excellence

Establish the operating model, governance, and performance standards required to scale Enterprise Data Operations.

Lead continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, quality, scalability, and customer success.
Team/People Leadership
-
Build and lead a high-performing Data Operations organization.

Develop hiring plans, organizational structure, and career development for a growing team.

Work alongside the Product leader to determine the long-term roadmap for Data Operations, automation, AI adoption, and platform scalability.

Establish operational KPIs, governance frameworks, and service-level agreements.
-
Partner with executive leadership to align operational strategy with company objectives.
-
Drive continuous improvement across people, processes, technology, and data quality.

Lead the evolution of Data Operations into a strategic competitive advantage for the company.
What you must have:
-
7+ years working in, designing, and architecting healthcare data operations, data engineering, clinical data management, or regulated data platforms.

Demonstrated success building scalable systems rather than simply executing on existing processes within healthcare ecosystems
-
Experience within healthcare, life sciences, biotechnology, medical device, pharmaceutical, or other regulated industries.

Strong understanding of data governance, operational excellence, quality management, and process architecture.

Experience implementing automation, workflow optimization, and operational transformation initiatives.
-
Familiarity with SQL, Python, APIs, cloud-based data platforms, and modern data architecture principles preferred.

Experience evaluating and implementing AI-enabled operational workflows.
-
Strong systems-thinking mindset with exceptional documentation and organizational skills.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Comfortable building new capabilities in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Salary/Rate Range: $150,000-$160,000
