Job Title: Business Analyst, Online Learning Platform Discovery

What you will be doing:

• Conduct stakeholder interviews, workshops, and focus groups with staff and potentially community members

• Review existing systems, processes, workflows, content, and data sources

• Develop a current state assessment and future state vision

• Identify existing and anticipated learning content, including courses, videos, handbooks, templates, toolkits, and related resources

• Document content ownership, governance, privacy, retention, stewardship, consent, attribution, and reuse requirements

• Define learner, administrator, and community collaborator use cases

• Document current state and future state workflows

• Gather and document functional and non functional requirements

• Define the minimum viable product and identify capabilities that may be deferred to future phases

• Assess reporting, analytics, personalization, assessment, recommendation, and learning pathway requirements

• Evaluate existing platforms and determine whether they can be reused, configured, extended, or integrated

• Identify platform gaps, constraints, APIs, exports, and interoperability requirements

• Evaluate potential learning management systems, resource libraries, and related web based solutions

• Recommend a target platform approach and supporting architecture

• Identify implementation risks, assumptions, dependencies

What you must have:

• Demonstrated experience leading complex business analysis and discovery engagements

• Strong experience gathering and documenting functional and non functional requirements

• Experience facilitating stakeholder interviews, workshops, focus groups, and user mapping sessions

• Experience conducting current state and future state assessments

• Experience defining minimum viable products and phased implementation roadmaps

• Experience evaluating learning management systems, content management platforms, resource libraries, or similar digital platforms

• Strong understanding of system integration, APIs, interoperability, data flows, and target architecture

• Ability to translate stakeholder needs into clear business and technology recommendations

• Excellent research, facilitation, analysis, documentation, and report writing skills

• Business Analysis certification such as CBAP, CCBA, or equivalent is preferred

Salary/Rate Range: $90.00 to $110.00 per hour
