What you will be doing:

  • Independently prepare detailed civil and architectural drawings and construction documents that meet permitting requirements and support efficient project execution.

  • Interpret engineering concepts, field information, sketches, specifications, and project requirements and translate them into clear and accurate drawings.

  • Integrate municipal requirements, client design criteria, existing building conditions, and sound engineering practices into drawing packages.

  • Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, coordination, and compliance with the company's drafting standards before submission.

  • Coordinate with Project Managers, Senior Project Managers, engineers, and other team members to address design changes and resolve drawing-related issues.

  • Manage multiple projects and competing deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Support the development and consistent application of drafting standards, templates, details, and processes.

  • Provide technical guidance, quality review, and support to junior drafting staff when required.

  • Work independently and maintain drafting productivity during periods when senior technical staff may be unavailable.


What you must have:

  • Diploma or degree in Architectural Technology, Civil Engineering Technology, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant civil, architectural, or building restoration drafting experience.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with limited supervision and manage multiple concurrent projects.

  • Experience reviewing drawings for accuracy and coordinating with engineers and project managers.

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and demonstrated experience preparing detailed construction drawing packages.

  • Strong understanding of construction documentation, drawing coordination, detailing, and drafting standards.

  • Experience working with existing buildings, building restoration, or rehabilitation projects is strongly preferred.

  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, field measurements, specifications, and technical information.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative and team-oriented approach.


Salary/Rate Range: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00
