Overview:
Our manufacturing client is seeking a skilled Power Platform Developer for a 6-month assignment. This role is responsible for the development of low-code applications and automations, as well as the day-to-day maintenance and enhancement of the client's portfolio of Power Platform applications. The successful candidate will play a key role in identifying and troubleshooting application issues while ensuring all changes align with the client's lifecycle methodology, version control, testing, governance, and risk guidelines.
What you will be doing:

Deliver solutions for internal clients using Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps and Power Automate), including automated workflows and low-code applications.

Collaborate with the Technical Lead, Business Analyst, and end-users to design and implement Power Platform-based solutions.

Work closely with Systems Analysts to provide ongoing support for Power Platform applications.

Actively contribute across all phases of the software development life cycle.

Evaluate end-user adoption and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

Partner with cross-functional technology and design teams to ensure consistent, positive client interaction and effective solution delivery.
What you must have:
-
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a Post-secondary Diploma in Computer Science.

Minimum of 2 years of related work experience developing and supporting Microsoft Power Platform.

Certifications (preferred): Microsoft Power Platform Developer Associate (or equivalent), Azure Fundamentals, or Azure Developer Associate.

Experience with the Power Platform Centre of Excellence and governance concepts.
-
Proficiency using Azure DevOps.

Experience in the heavy manufacturing industry is considered an asset.
Technical Skills

Canvas & Model-Driven App Development: Build robust, highly customizable apps using advanced Power Fx formulas, custom controls, and modern design elements.

PCF & Performance: Implement reusable components using the Power Apps Component Framework (PCF); optimize performance through data delegation strategies and efficient API calls.

Automation: Create complex, multi-step Power Automate workflows using conditional logic, loops, error handling, and custom connectors. Develop RPA solutions via Power Automate Desktop.

UI/UX Design: Proficiency in design tools like Figma or Adobe XD to create interactive prototypes, wireframes, and mockups. Apply modern design principles, themes, and branding to enhance usability and user engagement.

Important Note: For this position, you will need to possess both a valid Reliability Security Clearance and Controlled Goods Clearance, or be able to secure these clearances soon after receiving a offer. FYI - If you have a criminal background, or have lived outside of Canada for 6+ months in the past year, you may not qualify in a timely fashion.
Salary/Rate: $57.50/ hour
