Overview:
Our client is seeking an experienced Parts Specialist to join their Parts team in Boucherville, Quebec. This is an excellent opportunity for a customer-focused parts professional with experience in the heavy equipment, automotive, trucking, or related industries. The Parts Specialist will play a key role in supporting both the Parts and Service departments by identifying and sourcing parts, processing orders, assisting technicians and customers, managing inventory, and ensuring parts are available when needed. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Strong customer service and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.


What you will be doing:

  • Process customer and service department parts orders accurately and efficiently.

  • Assist technicians and customers with parts identification, sourcing, and ordering.

  • Provide exceptional customer service at the parts counter and over the phone.

  • Place orders with suppliers and follow up to ensure parts are received within required timelines.

  • Monitor backorders and proactively follow up on outstanding parts orders.

  • Process parts returns, credits, and warranty-related requests.

  • Maintain accurate inventory levels and perform daily cycle counts.

  • Conduct proactive customer outreach and identify opportunities to increase parts sales.

  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships through responsive and professional service.

  • Support the Service department by ensuring technicians have the parts required to complete repairs efficiently.

  • Maintain effective inventory control and assist with stock management.

  • Respond to customer inquiries related to parts availability, pricing, orders, returns, and warranties.

  • Accurately document parts transactions and maintain up-to-date records within company systems.

  • Answer incoming calls promptly and respond to customer needs with a strong sense of urgency.

  • Participate in the department's on-call rotation as required.

  • Complete additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Parts Manager.


What you must have:

  • Previous experience in a Parts Specialist, Parts Counter, Parts Advisor, or similar role.

  • Experience within the heavy equipment, automotive, trucking, construction equipment, or related industries is strongly preferred.

  • Strong customer service and sales skills with a customer-focused approach.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize competing demands in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office.

  • Experience with SAP or other inventory/ERP systems is considered an asset.

  • Strong ability to work independently while also contributing effectively to a team.

  • Ability to build strong working relationships with technicians, customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.

Education & Experience

  • Post-secondary education in Parts, Automotive, Heavy Equipment, Business, or a related field is considered an asset.

  • Relevant industry experience may be considered in place of formal post-secondary education.

  • Previous experience working with parts inventory, ordering systems, and supplier relationships is preferred.
