Overview:
Our client is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join their IPP team at their Vancouver Head Office. This role is ideal for an accounting professional with a strong background in managing a large portfolio of clients/entities, overseeing month-end close processes, and delivering accurate financial reporting within a fast-paced environment.
What you will be doing:

Lead and oversee the month-end and year-end close processes across a large portfolio, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant financial reporting

Manage the preparation and review of financial statements and internal management reports for a portfolio of entities, ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting standards

Oversee accounting operations, including transaction review, account reconciliations, and financial reporting processes

Manage, coach, and develop a team of junior accounting professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, performance feedback, and support to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and professional growth

Review and allocate accounting workloads across the team, ensuring deadlines and reporting requirements are consistently achieved

Act as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams, ensuring strong communication and alignment throughout the accounting cycle

Build strong relationships with business partners and stakeholders by providing clear financial insights, proactive communication, and timely resolution of accounting matters

Prepare and review year-end audit working papers and act as the primary liaison with external auditors to support efficient audit completion

Oversee the preparation and review of partnership and corporate tax filings in compliance with regulatory requirements

Support budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial reporting initiatives to provide actionable insights to leadership

Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accounting workflows, reporting capabilities, and operational efficiency
What you must have:

Minimum of 7 years’ experience with at least 3 years in a management position

CPA Designation is required

Public Practise/accounting firm experience

Strong technical accounting knowledge and understanding of accounting standards, financial reporting and internal controls Strong leadership and mentor abilities

Advanced level of Excel skills
-
Able to multi-task, work well under pressure and meet deadlines
Salary/Rate Range: $90,000.00 - $120,000
