Overview:
We are seeking a Temporary Payroll Administrator to support core payroll operations during a major HRIS/payroll system transition from UKG Kronos to Workday HCM. This is an excellent opportunity for a payroll professional with strong Canadian payroll experience and hands-on UKG/Kronos experience to join a collaborative team and contribute immediately during a critical transition period.
What you will be doing:
- Support end-to-end Canadian payroll processing and day-to-day payroll administration.
- Process and review employee timecards and payroll information.
- Support payroll activities across multiple store locations.
- Assist with payroll-related inquiries, adjustments, and basic payroll functions.
- Work collaboratively with other Payroll Administrators, sharing responsibilities across the team.
- Support payroll testing and related activities during the transition to Workday HCM.
- Assist with maintaining payroll accuracy, compliance, and data integrity.
- Provide additional payroll support as required during the transition and testing phases.
- Join a payroll team of approximately 5–6 Payroll Administrators and a Supervisor.
- Responsibilities are shared across the team, with team members supporting a broad range of payroll functions.
- The payroll team supports approximately 79 locations and 9,000 employees across Canada.
- This position reports to the Payroll Manager.
What you must have:
- Strong, hands-on experience with UKG/Kronos is required.
- Solid experience with end-to-end Canadian payroll processing.
- Experience with timecard processing and payroll administration.
- Experience supporting payroll across multiple locations, stores, or a large employee population.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain payroll accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and take on shared responsibilities.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and able to contribute with minimal onboarding time.
- Must be willing to work 5 days per week on-site due to data security requirements.
Nice to have:
- Experience with PeopleSoft.
- Experience supporting an HRIS/payroll system implementation or migration.
- Experience with Workday HCM or other enterprise HRIS platforms.
Salary/Rate Range: $25-40/hour T4; INC will be higher
