What you will be doing:

  • Develop a strong understanding of Midstream business areas, processes and project objectives.

  • Gather and define business requirements through interviews, workshops, surveys, site visits, storyboarding and other discovery techniques.

  • Translate high-level or conceptual business needs into clear, detailed functional requirements.

  • Assess proposed solutions and recommend alternatives where appropriate.

  • Understand technical options, limitations, costs and risks, and clearly communicate trade-offs to business stakeholders.

  • Partner with business and Digital/IT delivery teams to prioritize requirements and establish project scope.

  • Facilitate discussions between stakeholder groups when priorities or requirements compete.

  • Manage requirements and scope throughout the project delivery lifecycle.

  • Act as a key liaison between business stakeholders, technical teams and developers.

  • Develop clear project documentation, including business cases, requirements summaries and supporting materials.

  • Communicate complex technical concepts clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.


What you must have:

  • 10+ years of Business Analysis experience.

  • Previous experience within Oil & Gas / Energy is strongly preferred.

  • Experience supporting complex technology initiatives involving multiple business and technical stakeholder groups.

  • Strong requirements gathering, process analysis and functional requirements documentation experience.

  • Ability to uncover both explicit requirements and underlying/unstated business needs.

  • Strong understanding of how to evaluate technical options, risks, costs and limitations from a business perspective.

  • Excellent stakeholder management, facilitation, negotiation and influencing skills.

  • Comfortable engaging with developers, business partners, senior leaders and other project stakeholders.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to quickly understand new business areas, organizational structures, processes and policies.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate competing priorities.

  • Adaptable and comfortable learning new technologies, processes and business domains.
