Overview:
We are recruiting on behalf of a pharmaceutical client to fill a Director, Organization Development & Learning role -- a strategic, enterprise-facing role for a seasoned OD leader ready to shape culture, leadership capability, and organizational effectiveness at scale. This is a high-visibility seat reporting into the business, with the mandate to diagnose complex organizational challenges and design integrated solutions that move the needle on engagement, leadership pipeline, and performance. What you will be doing:
Enterprise Diagnosis & Consulting

Lead enterprise-level diagnostics using qualitative and quantitative data (interviews, focus groups, surveys, organizational data) to uncover root causes and strategic opportunities

Apply systems thinking to separate organizational, leadership, process, and capability gaps

Translate business challenges into clear problem statements and priorities, partnering directly with senior leaders on decisions
Solution Design & Organizational Impact

Turn diagnostic insight into integrated OD and learning solutions aligned to business strategy

Design scalable interventions across leadership development, culture, talent, and organizational effectiveness

Lead large-scale transformation and change management initiatives -- org design, succession planning, talent reviews, performance management evolution

Partner with HR Business Partners and business leaders to build organizational readiness for future workforce needs
Enterprise Program & Project Leadership

Lead complex, multi-phase, enterprise-wide initiatives end to end -- scope, stakeholder alignment, timelines, risk, executive reporting

Manage a portfolio of high-visibility projects in a highly matrixed environment with competing priorities

Evaluate initiative impact through meaningful metrics -- engagement survey results, reduced voluntary attrition, measurable cost savings
Learning Strategy, Design & Innovation

Design and launch enterprise-wide learning strategies grounded in adult learning theory and leadership development best practices

Measure effectiveness through behavior change and business outcomes (Kirkpatrick Levels 3 and 4)
AI & Digital Enablement
-
Leverage AI and emerging technologies to enhance learning design, personalization, and measurement

Pilot AI-enabled solutions -- skills mapping, adaptive learning, knowledge agents -- partnering with HR and IT to integrate them into talent and workforce systems
Facilitation, Leadership Enablement & Stakeholder Partnership

Facilitate high-impact leadership sessions, team effectiveness engagements, and transformation initiatives

Build trusted relationships with business leaders and HR partners at every level, influencing decisions through data, expertise, and executive presence
What you must have:
-
Bachelor's degree in HR, Organizational Development, Education, or a related field (Master's in OD, I/O Psychology, or HRD strongly preferred)

10+ years of progressive experience in organization development, talent management, or learning

A track record of diagnosing organizational challenges and delivering enterprise-level solutions

Experience leading large-scale, cross-functional initiatives with measurable business impact

Strong project and program management skills across multiple concurrent initiatives
-
Experience designing and implementing leadership development and talent management strategies
-
A history of advising and influencing senior executives
-
Experience measuring learning and OD impact, including Kirkpatrick Level 3/4 outcomes
-
Exposure to AI or digital tools in learning, talent, or workforce analytics (strongly preferred)

Experience managing budgets, vendors, and external partners
-
Prior experience leading and developing a team (preferred)
Salary/Rate Range: $196,000 - $250,000 base salary, commensurate with experience and qualifications, plus 25% annual bonus target and $30,000 long-term incentive (LTI).
