Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to provide clinical and administrative support in a busy healthcare setting. The ideal candidate will have strong patient care skills, phlebotomy experience, and experience supporting physicians and advanced practice providers.


What you will be doing:

  • Obtain and document patient vital signs and promptly report abnormal results to the Registered Nurse.

  • Accurately enter patient care information and clinical interventions into the electronic healthcare record (EHR).

  • Room patients for providers in a clinical setting and coordinate patient flow to support efficient clinic operations.

  • Administer vaccines and other IM/SubQ medications in accordance with established protocols and scope of practice.

  • Perform point-of-care sample collection, including phlebotomy.

  • Assist physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners with examinations, procedures, and treatments as directed.

  • Prepare examination rooms, equipment, and instruments for patient visits and minor procedures.

  • Perform clinical procedures as ordered by the provider, including:

    • Cleansing superficial lacerations and wounds

    • Dressing changes

    • Ear lavages

    • Electrocardiograms (EKGs)

    • Peak flow testing

    • Other procedures within the Medical Assistant's scope of practice

  • Ensure all patient care, procedures, and interventions are accurately and completely documented in the electronic healthcare record.


What you must have:

  • Previous Medical Assistant experience in a clinical or outpatient healthcare setting.

  • Experience with phlebotomy and point-of-care specimen collection.

  • Experience administering vaccines and IM/SubQ medications.

  • Proficiency with electronic healthcare records.

  • Experience rooming patients and supporting physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners.

  • Strong clinical, organizational, communication, and documentation skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment while maintaining excellent patient care.

  • Monday through Friday: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
  • Weekends: None
  • Holidays: None
