Relief Veterinarian (Small Animal GP)

About the Opportunity
A well-established small-animal general practice in Pompano Beach is looking for a relief veterinarian for 2-3 days a week, ongoing. The practice is known for calm, welcoming care and for helping clients make good decisions about their pets' wellness. This is a steady, recurring schedule for a doctor who wants predictable relief work with a supportive team.

Schedule

• 2-3 days per week, ongoing
• Weekday shifts, typically 8:00 am to 6:00 pm
• Occasional Saturdays, 8:00 am to 1:00 pm
• Some flexibility on which days, based on your availability and the hospital's needs

What the Day Looks Like

• Appointment-based general practice: wellness, sick visits and follow-ups
• About 15 appointments per shift
• Walk-ins only when an appointment slot is open
• No surgery, dentals or other procedures
• Critical cases are stabilized and referred to a nearby emergency hospital

Support

• One dedicated technician
• One floating technician
• A full-time lab and pharmacy technician
• A hospital manager on-site

Requirements

• DVM or VMD, with an active Florida veterinary license
• Current DEA registration preferred
• Small-animal general practice experience
• Comfortable seeing appointments independently with light onboarding
• Experience with IDEXX Neo is a plus; willing to learn it if not
• Spanish or Portuguese is a plus
