Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)

Position: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) - Primary Care
Schedule: Monday-Friday
Dress Code: Scrubs required

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support a busy primary care setting. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on clinical skills, particularly phlebotomy, and experience supporting routine primary care and women's wellness visits.

Key Responsibilities

• Support providers with primary care visits and routine patient care

• Assist with well-woman exams and preventive health checkups

• Obtain and accurately document vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respirations, height, and weight

• Perform a high volume of phlebotomy/blood draws with accuracy and strong patient-care skills

• Perform point-of-care testing and properly document results

• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures

• Prepare and maintain examination rooms and clinical supplies

• Assist providers with examinations, treatments, and minor procedures as needed

• Collect and prepare specimens for laboratory testing

• Document patient information and clinical interventions accurately in the electronic medical record

• Follow infection-control, safety, and patient confidentiality standards

• Provide professional, compassionate, and patient-centered care

Qualifications

• Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential

• Previous Medical Assistant experience in a primary care or outpatient clinical setting preferred

• Strong phlebotomy skills required, including comfort with frequent blood draws

• Experience performing point-of-care testing

• Experience obtaining and documenting vital signs

• Experience supporting women's health and well-woman visits preferred

• Strong communication, organizational, and patient-service skills

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment

Schedule

Monday through Friday

Candidates must be available to work the required weekday schedule and wear scrubs while on duty.
