Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer to join our Robotics & Space Operations team in Brampton. In this role, you will use your expertise to design, implement, maintain, and test software solutions that are modular, scalable, testable, and efficient. You will work on web-based ground control software, simulators, and test tools that support the control of robotic arms, rovers, and other robotic systems used in space operations. You will take a leadership role in complex subsystem designs and implementations while helping develop the skills of junior team members through mentoring, coaching, and technical guidance.
What you will be doing:
As part of the software development team, you will:
- Lead the design and development of ground control software, simulators, and test tools for robotic systems.
- Develop software solutions that are modular, maintainable, scalable, and testable.
- Ensure software designs are properly documented and effectively communicated.
- Lead and participate in software implementation, integration, and testing activities.
- Review technical designs and code developed by both senior and junior team members.
- Mentor and develop junior team members through technical discussions, code reviews, design guidance, and knowledge sharing.
- Lead estimation efforts for new development tasks and initiatives.
- Collaborate with senior technical staff and management to establish, evolve, and enforce coding standards, development tools, environments, and processes.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of software development practices and processes.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management or the team lead.
What you must have:
- 10+ years of relevant software development experience.
- Proven ability to design and implement software solutions on Windows and/or Linux platforms.
- Strong full-stack development experience.
- Strong experience with:
- JavaScript
- Angular - required
- ReactJS, including experience with Storybook
- C# / ASP.NET Core - required
- HTML
- CSS
- .NET technologies
- UX design
- Experience designing and working with both relational and non-relational databases, including:
- SQL / MSSQL / PostgreSQL
- Entity Framework
- LINQ
- NoSQL databases such as MongoDB and Couchbase
- Redis and other caching technologies
- ETL processes
- Experience with automated software testing.
- Experience working in an Agile development environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Highly motivated, proactive, and enthusiastic approach to software development.
- Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD), Acceptance Test-Driven Development (ATDD), or Behavior-Driven Development (BDD).
- Experience with:
- SignalR
- Playwright
- NUnit
- Experience with continuous integration and build automation.
- Experience with Python and/or Lua.
Salary/Rate Range: 53.85-$67.31/hour (T4)
