Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA)
We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) for a long-term coverage opportunity at an onsite employee health clinic located within a distribution center. This position offers a consistent weekday schedule with some flexibility available and the opportunity to work as part of a collaborative onsite healthcare team.

Clinical Team
The NP/PA will work alongside an established onsite clinical team consisting of:

1 additional Nurse Practitioner

2 Registered Nurses
-
1 Licensed Practical Nurse
Key Responsibilities
-
Provide comprehensive primary care services to employees.

Evaluate and treat same-day and acute care needs, including common illnesses and minor injuries.

Assess and manage minor work-related injuries and workers' compensation cases within the scope of the onsite clinic.

Perform patient assessments, physical examinations, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care.

Order and interpret appropriate laboratory and diagnostic testing.

Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans within scope of practice.

Provide health education, preventive care, and wellness counseling.

Identify conditions requiring referral to specialists, emergency departments, or other outside healthcare providers.

Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.

Collaborate closely with the onsite NP, nursing team, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity and quality of care.

Follow all clinical protocols, safety standards, and employer health policies.
Qualifications
-
Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in the state of practice.

Appropriate national certification as an NP or PA.

Current BLS certification.

Previous experience in primary care, family medicine, urgent care, occupational health, or employee health strongly preferred.

Comfortable independently evaluating and treating adult patients.

Experience managing minor occupational injuries and workers' compensation cases is preferred.

Strong clinical judgment, communication, and documentation skills.

Ability to work effectively within a collaborative onsite healthcare team.
