Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and patient-focused Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality clinical and occupational health services in an onsite healthcare setting. The RN will evaluate patient needs, provide treatment within the appropriate scope of practice, perform occupational health screenings, administer medications and vaccinations, and collaborate with physicians and other licensed providers to ensure appropriate continuity of care.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently, managing patient flow, performing clinical testing, and providing both routine and urgent nursing care.

Essential Functions

  • Utilize nursing knowledge and clinical judgment to evaluate patient care needs, prioritize treatment, and maintain efficient patient flow.

  • Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments, including obtaining patient histories, performing physical assessments, recording vital signs, and completing appropriate medical testing.

  • Provide treatment within the RN scope of practice and in accordance with applicable state laws and clinical protocols.

  • Collaborate with physicians and other Licensed Independent Practitioners (LIPs) to coordinate additional evaluation, treatment, or referrals when necessary.

  • Perform occupational and employee health screening procedures as required by the site, including EKGs, audiometry, spirometry, and vision screenings.

  • Perform appropriate laboratory testing and required quality-control procedures.

  • Perform venipuncture and blood draws.

  • Administer vaccinations, medications, and other medical treatments competently and safely as directed by a physician or Licensed Independent Practitioner.

  • Recognize emergency situations and provide appropriate care within the legal scope of nursing practice.

  • Accurately document all aspects of patient care, including nursing assessments, treatments, medications administered, discharge instructions, and follow-up care.

  • Maintain accurate and timely medical records, including documentation within an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system when applicable.

  • Assess patient health education and health-promotion needs and provide appropriate education, training, and instructions.

  • Participate in follow-up telephone calls and patient visits as needed to support continuity of care.

  • Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality in accordance with applicable regulations and organizational policies.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment and consistently follow infection-control procedures.

  • Identify clinical equipment requiring repair or maintenance and promptly notify the appropriate lead clinician.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state.

  • Current BLS/CPR certification.

  • Strong nursing assessment and clinical decision-making skills.

  • Must be proficient in venipuncture/blood draws and administering vaccinations.

  • Ability to recognize and appropriately respond to urgent and emergency situations.

  • Strong documentation skills and comfort working with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and patient-service skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with physicians, advanced practice providers, and other members of the healthcare team.

Preferred Experience

  • Previous occupational health, employee health, primary care, urgent care, or outpatient clinical experience.

  • Experience performing occupational health screenings, including EKG, audiometry, spirometry, and vision testing.

  • Experience working in an onsite or employer-sponsored healthcare environment is a plus.
