Overview:
We are seeking an experienced external consultant to provide dedicated project, administrative, and analytical support in preparation for upcoming collective bargaining. This is a hands-on role requiring someone who can work independently, anticipate needs, manage multiple workstreams, and ensure the bargaining team is organized and well prepared. Working closely with the Labour Relations team, the consultant will support the development and organization of bargaining materials, data, costing information, research, and documentation. The successful candidate will be highly organized, analytical, comfortable handling confidential and sensitive information, and able to take broad direction and independently move work forward.
What you will be doing:

Coordinate and maintain the overall bargaining preparation workplan, including timelines, deliverables, dependencies, and outstanding actions.

Support the costing and analysis of bargaining proposals in partnership with HR, Finance, Total Rewards, and other internal stakeholders.

Prepare summaries, tables, comparisons, briefing materials, and other analyses to help the bargaining team understand key issues and potential impacts.

Review the current collective agreement and help identify provisions requiring consideration, clarification, modernization, or potential amendment.

Develop and maintain bargaining trackers, proposal logs, costing records, issue lists, document repositories, and version control.

Support the preparation of bargaining mandates, proposals, counterproposals, briefing notes, meeting materials, and supporting documentation.

Maintain clear records of decisions, assumptions, outstanding questions, and rationale throughout the preparation and bargaining process.

Provide administrative and logistical support for bargaining meetings and preparation sessions, as required.

Take ownership of assigned workstreams with limited oversight and proactively identify additional work required to ensure the bargaining team is fully prepared.

Sound judgment and discretion when handling confidential and sensitive information.

Ability to analyze complex information and translate it into clear, practical, and usable materials.

Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and take initiative with limited oversight.

Strong project coordination, documentation, and analytical capabilities.

Ability to work collaboratively with Labour Relations, HR, Finance, Total Rewards, and other internal stakeholders.
Pay Rate: $50.00 /hour T4
