What you will be doing:

  • Design and plan the deployment of IP/MPLS network equipment.

  • Perform detailed engineering required for the installation and integration of telecommunications equipment.

  • Produce technical project documentation, including schematics, plans, specifications, configurations, and deployment procedures.

  • Participate in requirements analysis, solution design, and technology validation.

  • Provide technical coordination across project teams.

  • Support deployment, commissioning, and validation activities for implemented network solutions.

  • Ensure compliance with standards, guidelines, and best practices for network infrastructure.

  • Contribute to the evolution and optimization of organizational telecommunications architectures.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to IP/MPLS networks.

  • Verify design activities and sign/seal plans, specifications, technical reports, calculations, and supporting documentation in compliance with Quebec engineering regulations.


What you must have:

  • Professional Designation: Member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).

  • Experience: Minimum of 6 years of engineering experience, ideally in networking and telecommunications.

  • Technical Expertise: Deep expertise in telecommunications equipment and IP/MPLS technologies.

  • Detailed Engineering: Demonstrated experience in site surveys/inspections, technical calculations, schematics/plans/specifications preparation, equipment list drafting, and engineering deliverable validation.

  • Deployment & Commissioning: Hands-on experience in deploying network solutions, technical support during execution, and strategy/plan preparation.

  • Equipment Configuration: Proven ability to configure, validate, and ensure compliance of telecom equipment, as well as supervise production rollouts and changes.

  • Operations & Maintenance: Experience in network service support, incident resolution, technical documentation management, and operational improvement.

  • Architecture & Planning: Ability to participate in network planning, identify technical risks/dependencies, and draft technical standards, guides, and homologation processes.

  • Soft Skills: Strong autonomy, rigor, and analytical capabilities in complex technical environments.
