Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support both clinical and administrative functions within an outpatient healthcare setting. 

Schedule

Monday - Friday
7:30 AM - 4:30 PM

Responsibilities

• Interview patients and obtain and document vital signs, including pulse, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height.

• Maintain accurate, complete, and up-to-date patient health records.

• Prepare treatment and examination rooms for patient visits.

• Clean and sterilize medical instruments and equipment according to established protocols.

• Administer medications, including injections, as permitted by applicable state regulations and scope of practice.

• Perform laboratory testing and operate EKG and other diagnostic equipment as permitted by state regulations.

• Assist healthcare providers with patient care and clinical procedures.

• Schedule patient appointments and make follow-up calls.

• Monitor inventory and order medical and clinical supplies.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must have EPIC, phlebotomy skills

• National certification in Medical Assisting from an approved certifying organization OR a Certificate/Diploma and transcripts from an accredited Medical Assistant program that included and successfully completed a hands-on externship.

• Fully online Medical Assistant programs without a hands-on externship are not accepted.

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification with hands-on training through the American Heart Association (AHA), American Red Cross (ARC), or an equivalent approved provider is required.

• Must meet all applicable state-specific licensing, certification, and scope-of-practice requirements.
