Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

Rate: 26/hr

Schedule

  • Full-Time: 40 hours per week

  • Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend required

  • Open to 8-hour or 12-hour shifts, depending on candidate availability

  • Available shifts include:

    • AM: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM

    • AM – 12 Hour: 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM

    • PM: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a CNA – REQUIRED

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience, preferably in:

    • Long-Term Care (LTC)

    • Acute Care

    • Home Care – candidates with primarily home-care experience may be considered based on the strength and relevance of their background

  • Current and active CNA certification

  • Strong patient-care, communication, and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team

  • Dependable and comfortable working an every-other-weekend rotation

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care under the supervision of licensed nursing staff

  • Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, and feeding

  • Obtain and document vital signs and report changes in patient condition to nursing staff

  • Assist with transfers, positioning, and ambulation while maintaining patient safety

  • Support patients with personal care and comfort needs

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided

  • Follow established infection-control, safety, and patient-care procedures

  • Communicate effectively with nurses, patients, families, and other members of the healthcare team

  • Maintain patient dignity, privacy, and confidentiality at all times

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is an experienced CNA with at least two years of hands-on clinical experience who is comfortable providing direct patient care in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Candidates with strong LTC or acute-care experience are preferred. Home-care experience may be considered for candidates whose background demonstrates the clinical skills and patient-care experience needed to succeed in the position.
