What you will be doing:
In this client facing leadership role, you will work closely with other members of the tax group and the management team to implement tax and business planning strategies for new and existing clients. Your primary responsibilities will include:

Preparing tax technical research, tax correspondence and memos

Reviewing complex tax compliance, including tax returns, election forms, reorganizations and amalgamations

Providing support for team members on tax related matters for all clients

Supporting the development and coaching of other professionals and junior members

Working with other team members to review potential planning opportunities and to generate additional business for the firm from existing clients
What you must have:
-
Designated CPA
-
Currently enrolled in, or has completed, the CPA Canada In-depth Tax Course
-
4+ years of public practice experience, with a minimum of 2 in Canadian private company tax
-
Strong tax compliance background with an understanding of the issues and challenges faced by small-to-medium sized businesses

Experience with tax reorganizations and transactions

Independent, highly motivated, and a self-starter

Multi-tasker and can manage multiple clients simultaneously

Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) – and commitment to maintaining an open, transparent dialogue with colleagues and clients
