Overview:
A leading education-focused agency is seeking a skilled Server Administrator to join its IT infrastructure team. In this fully remote role, you’ll be responsible for maintaining the integrity, performance, and security of enterprise servers and systems. This is a high-impact opportunity to contribute to public-sector mission-critical applications and systems, supporting both Windows and Linux environments.

What you will be doing:

• Installing, configuring, and maintaining Windows and Linux server environments

• Monitoring performance, running diagnostics, and troubleshooting system and network issues

• Managing system security through user access controls, firewalls, and backup procedures

• Supporting Microsoft Teams Calling and VOIP infrastructure

• Performing system upgrades and patch management across platforms

• Documenting infrastructure policies, technical procedures, and creating knowledge base content

• Collaborating with cross-functional technical teams to resolve issues and enhance system performance

What you must have:

• 7+ years of experience in network and server administration

• Deep knowledge of server infrastructure concepts and practices

• 3+ years of experience managing both Windows and Linux OS

• Experience with Microsoft Teams Calling (telephony administration)

• Strong problem-solving skills in analyzing system logs and performance metrics

• Excellent communication and documentation skills with a team-first mindset

• Preferred: Hands-on experience optimizing VOIP systems or cloud-based communication tools
