Overview:
Our government client in Winnipeg, MB is looking an Integration Specialist for an initial 12-mth contract with an option for extensions, reference #098-XXX-25-047. This role requires a candidate to be onsite in Winnipeg a minimum of 25% of the time so candidates for this role should be currently residing in the Winnipeg area, willing to relocate to the area for the duration of the contract, or willing to meet the travel requirements indicated for onsite.


What you will be doing:
The Integration Specialist will work as part of a cross-functional team to develop and maintain integrations between different systems and applications. The Integration Specialist will be responsible for designing, building, testing, and deploying integration solutions that meet the organization's needs. The Integration Specialist will collaborate with developers, business analysts, and project managers to ensure that integration solutions are aligned with business requirements and meet the organization's architectural standards.

  • Design, develop, and maintain integrations between different systems and applications;

  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and project managers to ensure that integration solutions are aligned with business requirements and meet the organization's architectural standards;

  • Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, and deployment;

  • Document technical designs, test plans, and deployment procedures;

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to integrations;

  • Work with third-party vendors to integrate their systems with the organization's applications; and

  • Keep up-to-date with emerging technologies and recommend changes to the organization's integration architecture as needed.



What you must have:
The Integration Specialist should have experience in designing and developing integrations in a variety of contexts, including on-premises, cloud-based, and hybrid environments. The Integration Specialist should be knowledgeable in integration patterns and best practices and have experience with integration development tools such as MuleSoft Anypoint Studio, IBM Integration Bus, or Apache Camel. Additionally, the Integration Specialist should be familiar with web services, messaging systems, and databases, and have experience working with third- party vendors to integrate their systems with the organization's applications. In addition to technical skills, the Integration Specialist should possess strong problem-solving and communication skills. The Integration Specialist will be responsible for working with a cross-functional team to ensure that integration solutions are aligned with business requirements and meet the organization's architectural standards. The Integration Specialist will have a proven track record of designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality integrations that meet the organization's needs.

  • Five (5) years of relevant work experience in integration development and maintenance.

  • Integration development tools (i.e. MuleSoft Anypoint Studio, IBM Integration Bus, Apache Camel, Apache NiFi, etc.);

  • API design and development (REST, SOAP, JSON, XML, etc.);

  • Web services (i.e. WSDL, SOAP, XML-RPC, etc.);

  • Messaging systems (i.e. Kafka, RabbitMQ, IBM MQ, etc.);

  • Enterprise Service Bus (i.e. MuleSoft, IBM Integration Bus, etc.);

  • Database technologies (i.e. Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.);

  • Programming languages (i.e. Java, Python, JavaScript, etc.);

  • Cloud platforms (i.e. AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, etc.); and

  • DevOps tools (i.e. Jenkins, Ansible, Chef, etc.).
