What you will be doing:

Provide procurement services including:
-
Manage the end-to-end competitive bid process for goods and services procurement.

Offer procurement advice and guidance to business units and staff, including sourcing strategies, contracting approaches, and interpretation of relevant policies and procedures.

Collaborate with business units to develop scopes of work, draft RFx documents, manage the solicitation process, coordinate supplier evaluations, and prepare award recommendations.

Work closely with internal stakeholders such as Capital, IT, Legal, and Finance on complex procurement initiatives to support the development of business requirements and related sourcing strategies.

Negotiate with suppliers to ensure best value and alignment with organizational goals.

Mitigate risk by adhering to internal procurement policies, guidelines, and processes, as well as applicable legislation and emerging trends that may impact procurement practices.

Conduct market research and obtain competitive quotes from multiple sources.

Maintain accurate and complete records and documentation for all solicitations, responses, purchases, contracts, and related correspondence.

Deliver high standards of service to internal clients while ensuring compliance with procurement policies, government standards, contractual practices, applicable laws/regulations, and ethical conduct.

Liaise with suppliers to stay informed on market conditions and supplier performance, and to communicate procurement policies and procedures.

Analyze current procurement activities and recommend improvements through more efficient methods, standardization, and best practices to reduce costs and enhance service delivery.

Support the development and implementation of social procurement policies and practices.
What you must have:

4-year University Degree or equivalent; University or post-secondary education in a relevant field, preferably in Business Administration.

Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) designation, or equivalent combination of training and experience.

5 to 7 Years
-
Experience in managing complex procurement, including experience in managing competitive public bids for goods and services in British Columbia.
