What you will be doing:

  • Lead the planning team, which will be comprised of staff and contracted technical team members.

  • Provide project leadership and governance through project steering committee meetings. Working closely with all teams, the clients & the vendor to monitor and ensure the project accomplishes all goals and deliverables of the project on time and to budget.

  • Develop and distribute regular project reporting to sponsors and stakeholders.

Project Documentation

  • Project Charter and Plan

  • Monthly Status Reporting (PQTO, Technical Services and Steering Committee)

  • Project Budget Tracking Financial Workbook

  • Training Strategy and Plan

  • Communication Strategy and Plan

  • Testing Strategy and Plan

  • Risk and Issue Log

  • Change Request and Decision Record

  • Design Documentation

  • Delivery Partner Contracts (Vendors, Technical Services and Contract Resources)

  • Go-Live Planning Documentation

  • Complete the Production Turnover (PTO)

  • Service Desk Support (SDS)

  • Project Closure Report

Other Project Manager Responsibilities

  • Develops and drives project plans in alignment with PQTO methodologies and best practices, adapting to evolving requirements and risks.

  • Cultivates strong business partners relationships through consistent communication, proactive issue resolution and clear expectation management.

  • Provides effective leadership to cross-functional teams by fostering collaboration, resolving conflicts and optimizing team performance to ensure on-time delivery of project outcomes.

  • Leads weekly project meetings and monthly Steering Committee sessions to ensure milestones deliverables are on-track and aligned with the budget and project objectives.

  • Oversees quality assurance by reviewing deliverables, mitigating risks and ensuring adherence to established standards and project scope.

  • Maintains comprehensive project documentation, tracks financials and approves invoices, captures lessons learned and delivers clear, actionable reporting to leadership for any escalations and decision-making.


What you must have:

  • Post-secondary education in Computer Science and/or Health Information Sciences.

  • Project Management experience of Health Care IT implementations.

  • Experience with implementing the Tele Tracking suite of products at a hospital including the Capacity Management Suite, Clinical Workflow Suite, Real-Time Locating System

  •  Experience with implementing Vocera Communications System in a hospital-setting.

  • Experience with managing the technical services infrastructure.

  • Experience with the organization's Project Implementation Methodology.
