Overview:
Our client is seeking a visionary, results-driven VP of Marketing to join our executive team. This role is ideal for a seasoned agency leader who thrives in a fast-paced, growth oriented environment and is motivated by the opportunity to influence the direction of an entire organization. You will own the strategic direction of our client marketing programs, lead our account management team, and drive innovation across the agency. Your mandate: achieve 100% net dollar retention by delivering exceptional results, elevating client satisfaction, and identifying strategic upsell opportunities. This role also carries the potential for equity partnership.
What you will be doing:
Strategic Leadership & Thought Leadership

Represent WebMarketers at industry events and maintain a visible presence in the marketing community.

Contribute thought leadership content across digital channels to elevate brand authority.
Client Strategy & Growth

Develop and oversee comprehensive marketing strategies for new and existing clients.

Build cross?divisional roadmaps that drive measurable growth and retention.

Act as a vCMO for select high-value accounts when required.
Team Leadership & Development

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 4 Marketing Managers and collaborate closely with 3 Account Executives.

Foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous learning.
Performance Management & Retention

Oversee performance across all client accounts, ensuring KPIs and outcomes are consistently met.

Design and implement proactive retention strategies for at?risk clients.

Identify opportunities for expansion within existing accounts.
Innovation & AI Integration

Champion innovation by evaluating and integrating new marketing strategies, platforms, and AI-driven tools.

Ensure the agency remains ahead of evolving consumer search and digital behaviour trends.
Client Onboarding & Discovery

Lead the onboarding and discovery process to deeply understand client businesses and set the foundation for long-term success.
Cross-Functional Collaboration

Partner with Web, Video/Animation, and AI/Automation teams to deliver cohesive, integrated solutions.
Hands-On Execution

Maintain the ability to perform technical marketing tasks when needed, providing expert guidance and leading by example.
What you must have:

Senior leadership experience within a digital marketing agency strongly preferred; alternatively, experience managing multiple accounts in a B2B environment.

Significant client-side marketing experience, with a deep understanding of business objectives and operational realities.

Strong experience with reporting and visualization tools, especially Looker Studio.

Deep understanding of SEO/AEO/GEO and the evolving role of AI in consumer search.

Proven track record of hiring, managing, and developing high-performing teams.

Exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, problem-solving, and public speaking skills.

Proficiency with project management tools (ClickUp preferred; Asana or Monday acceptable).

Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Salary/Rate Range: $110,000.00 - $140,000.00
