What you will be doing:

  • Lead Workday projects through requirements gathering, functional design, configuration, testing, deployment and post-production support.

  • Configure and support legal entities, organizational structures, unions/collective agreements, supervisory organizations, security roles and business processes.

  • Gather business requirements and translate them into scalable Workday solutions.

  • Conduct fit-gap analysis and recommend solutions aligned with Workday best practices.

  • Develop test plans and scenarios, manage defects and support UAT and deployment activities.

  • Troubleshoot complex Workday production issues and perform root-cause analysis.

  • Support Workday releases, regression testing, feature evaluations and system enhancements.

  • Identify opportunities to streamline HR processes and improve system functionality and user experience.

  • Create process flows, functional documentation, configuration decisions and operational procedures.

  • Facilitate workshops and working sessions with HR, Payroll, Finance, Digital and other stakeholders.

  • Provide guidance on Workday governance, configuration standards and leading practices.

  • Communicate project status, risks, dependencies and recommendations to stakeholders and project leadership.


What you must have:

  • 5+ years of hands-on Workday functional experience across one or more modules such as Core HCM, Payroll, Time Tracking, Absence, Compensation, Recruiting, Benefits or Security.

  • Proven experience leading Workday projects/configuration initiatives from requirements through deployment.

  • Experience with complex organizational changes such as legal entity implementations, acquisitions/divestitures, restructures or unionized environments.

  • Strong understanding of Workday business processes, security, reporting and data structures.

  • Strong requirements gathering, testing, troubleshooting and root-cause analysis experience.

  • Ability to independently manage Workday initiatives and multiple priorities.

  • Strong communication, documentation, facilitation and stakeholder management skills.
