Overview:
Our client is looking for a Project Manager to lead engineering initiatives within our Power Systems Engineering (PSE) group. In this role, you'll own the full project lifecycle -- from developing quotes in response to internal RFQs, to coordinating cross-functional engineering teams, to tracking metrics that keep projects on schedule and on budget. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives at the intersection of technical depth and program management.
What you will be doing:

Quoting & Scoping -- Develop project quotes in response to RFQs from internal customers, balancing technical scope with realistic timelines and cost.

Project Leadership -- Manage projects end-to-end within our project management system: scheduling, workload direction, and day-to-day administration.

Technical Oversight -- Direct and oversee the creation, revision, and maintenance of product hardware and manufacturing documentation.

Schedule Management -- Build and maintain development schedules for hardware and documentation, keeping every stakeholder aligned.

Performance Reporting -- Deliver weekly project metrics to leadership through tracking spreadsheets and the Project Report Card.

Mentorship -- Help train and develop other Project Managers across the team.

Process Improvement -- Contribute to reviewing and refining project management procedures, work instructions, and forms.

Travel -- Occasional travel to support training, on-site project execution, or product issue resolution.
What you must have:
-
Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline (or equivalent experience)

4+ years of experience in engineering management, or an equivalent blend of technical and management experience

4+ years of experience in Conventional Power industries (Oil & Gas, Coal, LNG, etc.)

Proven success managing technical projects involving electromechanical systems

Hands-on experience in product development and advanced R&D of electromechanical systems

Working knowledge of electronics, packaging, thermal management, and systems design and integration

Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Nice to have:

Experience mentoring or training other project managers or engineers

Familiarity with formal project management systems or methodologies (PMP a plus, not required)

Track record of improving team processes or documentation standards
