Overview
A public accounting firm is seeking a Senior Tax Manager to lead client engagements, review tax work and develop team members. This role combines technical tax expertise with client relationship management and practical leadership.
What you will be doing
- Manage tax compliance and planning engagements for business and individual clients.
- Review tax returns and supporting workpapers for accuracy, completeness and technical quality.
- Research complex tax issues and explain practical recommendations to clients.
- Supervise and coach staff, provide review feedback and coordinate engagement deadlines.
- Serve as a client contact, resolve questions and identify planning opportunities.
- Work with firm leadership to allocate resources and improve engagement processes.
What you bring
- Active CPA credential and substantial public accounting tax experience.
- Experience reviewing tax work, supervising staff and managing client relationships.
- Strong technical judgment, problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Clear communication and the ability to manage competing client priorities.
