Overview:
We are looking for a Program Coordinator for the Business Events team. We are looking at 3 months to start, but there is a possibility of the role being extended for a couple more months. This role will be working closely with the Director of Business Events and will be responsible for supporting program administration and coordination between internal and external stakeholders, including industry and government partners.


What you will be doing:

  • Coordinate the administration and delivery of the International Convention Attraction Program (ICAF).
  • Manage the intake, review, and evaluation of funding applications, ensuring proposals meet program eligibility requirements.
  • Coordinate funding decisions and communicate outcomes to applicants.
  • Track applications, funding commitments, and program results.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including Finance and Legal, to support partnership agreements and program administration.
  • Identify opportunities to improve and streamline processes and support the implementation of enhancements.

What you must have:
  • Minimum 2 years' experience administering grants, contributions, funding, or similar programs.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience reviewing and evaluating funding applications or proposals against established criteria, policies, and procedures.
  • Experience coordinating projects, contracts, or funding agreements with multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to exercise sound judgment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams.
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook) and the ability to quickly learn new systems.

Nice to have:
  • Experience administering government funding or grant programs.
  • Knowledge of financial processes, budgeting, or funding administration.
  • Experience using CRM platforms or project management tools (e.g., Simpleview, Asana).
  • Experience in the meetings, conventions, tourism, or events industry.
  • Experience working with membership-based organizations or stakeholder groups.
  • Bilingual.

Salary/Rate Range: $30.00 –$35.00/hour (T4)
