An established small animal hospital on the Virginia Peninsula needs relief coverage for a handful of weekday dates in late November and December while a staff veterinarian is on leave, with the possibility of more dates. A great way to get started with relief work in Hampton Roads, where we have ongoing relief needs at several hospitals.

What the role offers

• Single-day relief shifts on weekdays, booked around your schedule
• Appointment-based general practice, mostly 30-minute appointments
• A full-time surgeon on staff, so surgery is not required

• Access to more relief days across Hampton Roads (Peninsula, Chesapeake and Virginia Beach)

What we are looking for

• DVM or VMD with an active Virginia veterinary license (or able to obtain one) and DEA registration
• Comfortable with a full general practice appointment book; dentistry a plus; exotics welcome but not required
• Professional liability coverage (or willing to obtain)
