Technical Sales Rep - Process Instrumentation

The Opportunity:

 

We are partnering with a globally recognized manufacturer of analytical and process instrumentation that is expanding its U.S. field sales team. They’re looking for a strong sales person to take ownership of a high-performing East Coast territory to drive growth. (Candidate will ideally be located in NY/NJ/PA or NC/SC/Atlanta GA regions).

 

This is a consultative, complex sales role focused on high-value analytical solutions sold into regulated and process-driven industries, so technical credibility along with soft skills and tenacity are vital.

 

You will operate in a highly autonomous, field-based capacity with strong technical support infrastructure behind the sales team. On offer is a solid compensation package as well as the backing of a well known brand.

 

What You’ll Do:

 

  • Own and grow a defined East Coast sales territory
  • Sell complex analytical process instrumentation into manufacturing and production environments
  • Target customers in industries including:
  • Chemical
  • Petrochemical
  • Pharmaceutical
  • Biotechnology
  • Power Generation
  • Develop and execute a structured territory and business development plan
  • Build and manage relationships at multiple decision-making levels (engineering, operations, procurement, executive)
  • Partner closely with internal technical and corporate resources to support solution development
  • Maintain accurate pipeline visibility and forecasting through CRM
  • Consistently achieve or exceed revenue targets

 

What you'll need to be successful:

 

  • Demonstrated success selling capital equipment or complex technical solutions
  • Experience managing a large, geographically dispersed territory
  • Experience with selling process instrumentation
  • Strong consultative selling and account development skills
  • Ability to articulate both technical and financial value propositions
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical field preferred
  • 5+ years of relevant sales experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
